Learn how I see the light that already exists indie a home and turn even the most ordinary spaces into opportunities for beautiful, intentional images.  I'll explain how I read light, recognize its direction, and position myself and my subjects within it to create depth and mood.  The goal is to learn how to see what you have, work with it intentionally, and make light part of the story.

Prompting Genuine Connection

Learn how I move families beyond posed smiles and create space for moments that happen in between.  I'll share how I think about when to prompt, when to step in and when to get out of the way so you can guide a session without taking away the authenticity.  

Pre-Session Prep

A successful storying session starts long before I arrive at the session.  I'll walk you through how I prepare families before their session so they know what to expect, feel comfortable, and come into the experience ready to simply be themselves.  This step is often the most over-looked but I explain ways I learn my clients and educate them on the process so you'll be well on your way to attracting your ideal clients.

I've stripped away the noise and created a focused learning experience through scaffolded teaching modules. About Your Instructor

I'm Dominique, owner of Grace Mae Photography and drawn to the quiet, in-between moments that often go unnoticed but hold the most meaning. Before starting my photography journey, I spent 7 years in the classroom and hold a Masters in Education. It is my greatest blessing being able to blend my love for teaching with my passion for photography. My background as a teacher shapes everything inside this course. It's not just a collection of pretty videos or surface-level inspiration. I built every lesson with intention so you're not just watching what I do, you're actually learning the 'why' behind every decision I make. My work is rooted in turning ordinary moments into visual poetry by using light and connections. Rather than over-directing, I guide with intention, creating space for something honest and real to emerge. Through both my client work and teaching, I’m passionate about helping others slow down, see differently, and create images that feel as meaningful as they look.
